Updated: Sep 3, 2019

How do you know if your logo is the RIGHT logo for your business?... Better yet! How do you find the right logo?

What exactly is a logo?

A logo is a graphic mark, symbol, or other design adopted by an organization to identify its products, services, ect. Logos can represent its organization in forms of abstract, figurative or text designs.

A Logo is not just something that can be made overnight! You must take your time and really think it through. There are a bunch of factors involved when creating a logo. This biggest factor is the color or colors that will be representing your company.

Choose the right colors for your logo!

Choosing the correct colors plays a HUGE part of how your company is viewed. For example, the color red triggers stimulation, increases appetite, and grabs attention. While the color blue triggers trust, reliability, professionalism. The color blue naturally curbs appetite and is not recommended to be used with food logos.

Choosing the correct colors can greatly impact the success of your business

In order to pick the right colors for your company, you must fully understand your target market and their needs. If you understand who your target market is, designing your logo will be a lot easier. The next question is, does the logo fit with the company?

Did you know there are different types of logo styles?

Not only is color important but so is the style of logo. There are five main types of logos,

a logotype, a pictorial mark, and abstract mark, emblem or enclosure, and complex image. I can't stress enough how understanding your target market plays a major factor in many aspects of your business. Here are a few examples of those types of logos from popular brands.

Logotype: Includes your companies name in a stylized typeface and or company initials in a simple shape.

Pictorial Mark: Literal or representative imagery to symbolize your brand.

Abstract Mark: shapes or symbols that convey a specific idea or attribute. They are very unique and identifiable without the company name.

Emblem or Enclosure: Features the name or initials of the company as part of a pictorial element or shape.
